The United States is no longer a functioning democracy. It has been occupied by a combination of Israeli interests and a domestic class of ultra-wealthy plutocrats. Our government now serves them, not the American people.
We had a historic opportunity in 2021 to substantially fix our democracy when the For the People Act passed as H.R.1 in the House. ...But we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. We didn't put enough pressure on our senators. So there they remain as before, literally cheering on a genocide and handing out money to billionaires.
